General Election Manifesto – Voting for Tourism

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) publishes its Tourism Manifesto which outlines the key areas that the next Government must focus on to support the country’s largest indigenous industry and biggest regional employer.
A Whole of Government Approach, Competitiveness, Connectivity, Political Configuration, Capacity, Investment and Sustainability are the 7 pillars of ITIC’s Tourism Manifesto.
ITIC argues that the sector can grow and meet its environmental obligations but only if the enabling policies are brought into effect by the next Government following the impending General Election.

Analysis of Government induced costs on Tourism & Hospitality Enterprises

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) has today warned that Government labour policy will add €1.4 billion to payroll costs of tourism and hospitality enterprises between now and 2026. ITIC has said that mitigation measures are urgently needed to ensure the competitiveness and viability of Ireland’s largest indigenous industry and biggest regional employer.
